In today’s complex legal landscape, few attorneys manage to combine sharp litigation skills with a deeply personal commitment to justice. Mohammad Ayman Owaynat, a Chicago-based trial attorney, is emerging as one of those rare figures—known for his relentless advocacy and people-first approach.

Born and raised in Chicago, Owaynat comes from a diverse cultural background, with Palestinian roots from his father’s side and Mexican and Native American heritage from his mother’s. He also spent part of his upbringing in Jordan, shaping a global perspective that continues to influence his legal practice today. Fluent in Arabic and closely connected to the Arab-American community, Owaynat has built a reputation as a trusted advocate for clients who often feel unheard or underserved.

Growing up as one of eleven siblings, he developed resilience, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility early in life—qualities that now define his professional identity. His mindset has also been shaped by over two decades of martial arts training, where he earned a second-degree black belt. This background instilled in him a fighter’s mentality—focused, strategic, and unwilling to back down.

Owaynat earned his undergraduate degree in business before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School. Shortly after graduating, he took an unconventional path by founding his own firm, Owaynat Law Group. The firm focuses on personal injury and medical malpractice cases, with a mission to stand up for individuals against powerful institutions.

Over the years, Owaynat has achieved notable legal success, earning recognition for his courtroom performance. His work includes securing a Top 50 verdict in Illinois in 2023 and a Top 100 verdict in Illinois in 2024. He has also been consistently recognized among the “Top 40 Under 40” and “Top 100” trial attorneys since 2020, along with being named a “Rising Star.”

Beyond his legal career, Owaynat is also an entrepreneur and an active community contributor, involved in initiatives aimed at improving the lives of underserved communities. His work reflects a broader mission—using both law and business as tools to create lasting impact.

Today, Mohammad Ayman Owaynat stands as more than just a successful trial attorney. He represents a new generation of legal professionals who view the law as a platform for justice, dignity, and meaningful change.
